About The Forty Houses
Alvaro Nunez Cabeza de Vaca appointed this name to this archaeological site in the sixteenth century quedándosele over the centuries. It consists of land and built houses timber within rock shelters and cliffs of the canyon.
Paquimé belonging to the culture, are the first signs of sedentary occupation in the north and have been around about a thousand years ago.
