About Rufino Tamayo Museum (Contemporary Art Museum)
Located inside the Bosque de Chapultepec, was named in honor of the renowned Mexican painter Rufino Tamayo. Comprised of works from the private collection of the painter of contemporary art, the museum opened in 1981.
The same building itself is a work of art and one of the few buildings in Mexico made from its very conception to be museum. Outstanding example of contemporary Mexican architecture.
