About Talavera Poblana
Puebla represents the largest colonial city in the country and is known for its beautiful tradition of Talavera pottery production. Many of the facades of the historic center of Puebla are decorated with this beautiful craftsmanship, but nowadays it is mainly used for common utensils such as dishes, vases, vases, sinks, religious articles and decorative figures. Currently in Puebla there are only nine certified workshops where you can buy this type of crafts. The most recognized is Talavera Uriarte, here you can take a tour from Monday to Friday from 11 am and get to know the workshop where the handmade pieces are created.
