This typical Michoacan town is full of history and will offer you a nice walk in its cobbled streets. Located on the side of a mountain of reddish earth, you can admire the Franciscan monastery built in 1540 with its very simple facade or relax on a bench in its central park. On the eve of Palm Sunday the Atole Fair takes place, where you can taste a huge amount of flavors in the company of a rich tamale.
