About Evenings of Danzon (Cuban Dance)
It was through this port and the Yucatan Peninsula that the danzón, whose origin is Cuban, was introduced to Mexico; hence, to this day, its tradition continues to be deeply rooted in this jarocha city. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday around 7:00 pm you can enjoy watching couples dance the danzón. But do not be shy, if you fancy you can also stop to join the dance because no special invitation is required to do so.
