Plateau of Cacaxtla

It has several ecosystems such as tropical deciduous forest, deciduous forest, semi-deciduous forest and desert scrub, marshes and lagoons. The most representative species are sea turtles, snapper, shark, croaker, shrimp, lobster, brown pelicans, frigate, white fronted parrot, lilac-crowned parrot and red-headed woodpecker.
