Description Prehispanic City of Uxmal
It is considered one of the most important archaeological sites of the ancient Mayan culture in Yucatan. Its name comes from the meaning Oxmal built three times, and refers to the ancient city. It consists of fifteen groups of buildings, the most prominent are the Pyramid of the Magician, the Nunnery Quadrangle and the Governor's Palace and the Great Pyramid, the Joint House of the Doves and South Temple.
