Monarca Butterfly Sanctuary

Mexico State lands are home to majestic Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, a show that surprises any traveler. Among the mountains of Michoacan and the State of Mexico, is located several sanctuaries: El Rosario, Sierra Chincua, Senguio, Ejido El Capulin, Piedra Herrada and La Mesa, in order to protect the natural resources of the area and especially the phenomena of hibernation, reproduction and migration of the Monarch butterfly. The season for the visit and observation of the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuaries, includes the month of November to March, each year.
