The Tuxtlas

Los Tuxtlas harbor enormous biodiversity due to its geographical position and the terrain. It is one of the rainiest areas of the country, giving rise to a complex hydrological network, you can count up to 15 different types of vegetation, some 2,697 species of plants, 566 birds, 193 mammals, 120 reptiles and 46 of amphibians, and the place is a key site for migratory bird species in North America.
