About The Santo Tomas Wine Cellars
Before military barracks, since 1935 the wineries are located in the same place. It is the oldest wine estate in the state and second in the country, was born in 1888 and it was in 1932 that Abelardo Rodríguez bought it making the first bottling in 1939 (the first bottling plant is exhibited in the place). With a great variety of grapes, in 1988 under the care of winemaker Hugo D Acosta the production of 300 thousand boxes per year is lowered to 30 thousand, guaranteeing high quality.
