About Contoy Island National Park
On this island the Caribbean Sea merge with the Gulf of Mexico and is one of the most important refuges for seabirds in the Mexican Caribbean. In the Ixchalé reef, which marks the beginning of the second longest barrier reef in the world, abundant fish and corals. Besides the many birds that arrive during the summer you can see turtles.
