About Carnaval Mérida
The Mérida Carnival is one of the most important in the region whose origin dates back to the XIX century and since then, year after year, the town of Mérida witnesses one of the most spectacular carnivals in Mexico, which differs from other carnivals by having a different theme each year.
The Mérida Carnival offers something for everyone, from children's games for the little ones as well as the great dances for the young people who put together the invited musical groups, in addition to the delicious gastronomy.
Carnival Tuesday, or the "Battle of the Flowers", is the most anticipated day for the attendees because it is when they enjoy the parade of comparsas and say goodbye to the Carnival.
